We are looking for a smart, committed, reliable, and detail oriented candidate to join our Rain or Shine family as an Assistant Production Manager!

This is a permanent full-time position with opportunity to grow. Schedule can be somewhat flexible.

Starting wage is dependant on experience.

Key responsibilities:

• Baking, prepping and portioning ice cream toppings and inclusions.

• Making ice cream.

• Batch prepping for ice cream bases.

• Labelling and packing pint jars, and other product/event offerings.

• Be a learner and innovator, that can follow structured recipes.

• Be highly knowledgeable about our ingredients and take accountability for your results.

• Maintain high attention to detail during preparation and strive to maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

• Maintain a clean and FoodSafe kitchen.

• Maintain a WorkSafe environment.

• Equipment set up, maintenance, tear down, and cleaning.

• Moving and organizing inventory via FIFO.

• Receiving inventory deliveries and checking for quality.

• Working with Production Manager and team to execute production as per operation needs.

• Communicating amongst upper management team.

• Help source and prepare ice cream ingredients.

• Ordering ingredients and managing inventory.

• Flavour development.

• Assist with hiring and running production team.

• Fulfill special orders and events

• Oversee kitchen and staff when the Manager is not there

Physical Requirements:

• Repetitive tasks.

• Able to stand for 6+ hours.

• Comfortable with physical work, lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 1+ year Baking/Culinary Experience.

• Food Safe Level 1 Certificate.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Have a positive attitude with a passion for quality and efficiency.

• Strong references.

Starting Wage:

• $20.00-23.00/ hr [based on experience]
